چکیده

Abstract One of the major issues with pomegranate production in arid and semi-arid climate is white arils fruit. The known plant regulators abscisic jasmonic acids play a variety roles growth reduction abiotic stresses. However, little about their application to improve quality fruit, particularly arils, environments. Herein, experiments, this study, were performed two consecutive seasons 2020 2021 on 10-year-old Wonderful trees spotlight improvement aril coloration fruit by spraying under climatic conditions. Fifteen subjected five treatments (three replications for each). tested included acid (ABA) at concentrations 600 800 µg −1 mL, (JA) 10 15 Mm, control treatment (distilled water). physical chemical characteristics improved significantly when treated or acids. foliar addition ABA mL increased anthocyanin index 96.74 114.75%, respectively, first year 49.48 67.62% second year, comparison control. was more effective than enhancing most properties, especially index. high level (800 mL) gave minimum acidity highest quality. Abscisic induces enhances pomegranate. In conditions, it recommended spray increase coloration.

The pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) genome provides insights into fruit quality and ovule developmental biology.

Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) has an ancient cultivation history and has become an emerging profitable fruit crop due to its attractive features such as the bright red appearance and the high abundance of medicinally valuable ellagitannin-based compounds in its peel and aril. However, the limited genomic resources have restricted further elucidation of genetics and evolution of these interes...

Flavonols and Flavones Changes in Pomegranate (Punica granatum L

Four Chinese pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) cultivars were analyzed for their individual flavonols and flavones (in fruit peel extracts) using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), with changes in flavonols and flavones as occurring during fruit development. The results revealed the presence of kaempferol, quercetin, myricetin, luteolin, and apigenin in all the four cultivars. In add...

Climate effects on anthocyanin accumulation and composition in the pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) fruit arils.

Worldwide pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) production has expanded greatly due to recent evidence on the fruit health attributes. The fruit's unique red color, conferred by anthocyanins, is an imperative sensory quality. Climate effects on the fruit's internal color were reported earlier. The present study investigated the influence of a wide range of temperature regimes (∼7-40 °C) on pomegrana...
